CEOs in Economy Class

While reviewing my career path and comparing with that of CEO of my company, I realized that its too late to aim for CEO position. 😉 Just Kidding 😉 But why should we wait to become CEO of an organization and doing the same thing what we can do now with equivalent impact.

If you want to be treated like king, act like one. Hope you agree with this phrase.

Consider starting with three values – Safety, Integrity and Collaboration. Sounds easy 😉 right?

But ask yourself when was the last time you thought about others safety while executing your duty. Have you ever thought about how is your work going to impact others specially if it’s executed in harsh environment (oil and gas). It could be a medicine, cosmetics, construction, technology. Most of the time you will not get second chance to correct your mistake. Compromising safety can led to fatality.
Every morning a father says bye to his family, trusting his counterpart’s safe behavior,  to return home safely in the evening. That morning his family may see him for the last time if some one else would have not thought about safety for others. Think about it – this is CEO mindset.

Integrity is the strength of any company. Commitment to policy, processes and dealing fairly without fail each time every time bring you to the highest level compliance. Protecting company intellectual properties, keeping information confidential until required to be disclosed is another dimension of CEO integrity. 🌻

The last one – Collaboration – CEO always have their army to address any operational challenges. He is not there to address operational needs. The prime responsibly of CEO is to prepare future roadmap for company clearing all obstacle – The Troubleshooter. Collaboration and Network not only helps in getting new assignments but to resolve any issue coming along the way.

CEO mindset not only practice above three behavior but also promote them in his environment.

2. Leadership – Right balance of transactional and transformational leadership.
